Last Wednesday (17 April), together with our regional distributor ‘Iradia’, we hosted the ‘5th Cobb Business Forum’ in Belgrade, Serbia. A total of 60 leading representatives of the poultry industry from the entire Balkan region accepted the invitation to discuss future trends and developments in the industry.
The core topic of this year’s meeting: ‘Quality control and assurance’. A decisive factor for every poultry company. On the one hand for co-operation with the retail trade and on the other hand to gain the trust of consumers. Experts from the field of food certification presented the Dutch system ‘Integrated Chain Supervision’ (IKB) and the food standard ‘IFS Food’ and explained why both systems are important for the sale of products in supermarkets. Our sister company Bördegarten also gave the participants an insight into the traceability system that they have successfully introduced for vegetable production. This means that in the event of spoilt food, the cause can be traced back precisely.
On the following day (18 April), Cobb Germany and ‘Iradia’ hosted another event: the ‘Cobb technical seminar’ moderated by Biljana Tomić. Over 80 experts from Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia and Greece accepted the invitation. Among other things, they listened to exciting presentations on parent stock management, general poultry diseases and health and the principles of successful breeding. James Truscott (Director Cobb Germany) rounded off the event with his presentation on our high-performance ‘Cobb’ breed.

Am vergangenen Mittwoch (17. April) haben wir gemeinsam mit unserem regionalen Vertriebspartner „Iradia“ zum „5. Cobb Business Forum“ nach Belgrad, Serbien, eingeladen. Insgesamt 60 führende Vertreter der Geflügelindustrie aus der gesamten Balkanregion folgten der Einladung, um sich gemeinsam über zukünftige Trends und Entwicklungen in der Branche auszutauschen.
Das Kernthema des diesjährigen Treffens: „Qualitätskontrolle und -sicherung“. Ein entscheidender Faktor für jedes Geflügelunternehmen. Zum einen für die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Einzelhandel und zum anderen um das Vertrauen der Verbraucher gewinnen zu können. Experten aus dem Bereich der Lebensmittelzertifizierung stellten das niederländische System „Integrierte Kettenüberwachung“ (IKB) und den Lebensmittelstandard „IFS Food “ vor und erklärten, warum beide Systeme für den Verkauf von Produkten in Supermärkten wichtig sind. Unser Schwesterunternehmen Bördegarten gab den Teilnehmenden zudem einen Einblick in das Rückverfolgbarkeitssystem, das sie bei der Gemüseproduktion erfolgreich eingeführt haben. So kann im Falle eines verdorbenen Lebensmittels die Ursache genau zurückverfolgt werden.
Für den darauffolgenden Tag (18. April) lud Cobb Germany gemeinsam mit „Iradia“ zu einem weiteren Event ein: das von Biljana Tomić moderierte „Cobb technical seminar“. Über 80 Fachleute aus Kroatien, Bosnien, Serbien und Griechenland folgten der Einladung. Sie lauschten unter anderem den spannenden Vorträgen zu Elterntier-Management, allgemeine Geflügelkrankheiten und -gesundheit sowie den Grundsätzen für eine erfolgreiche Zucht. James Truscott (Director Cobb Germany) rundete die Veranstaltung mit seinem Vortrag über unsere leistungsstarke Rasse „Cobb“ ab.
