Visit to Baasdorf strengthens cooperation

For the second time in a short space of time, we welcomed an important customer to our company. Perutnina Ptuj, one of Europe’s oldest poultry companies based in Slovenia, visited our administrative centre in Regenstauf, Bavaria, last year. Three weeks ago, they accepted our invitation to Baasdorf to see our hatching egg production for themselves.

On the first day, our guests visited the MMT Köthen veterinary practice together with our colleagues Jan Mascheck and James Truscott. Here they were able to discuss vaccination programmes and important aspects of poultry health with Dr Matthias Todte (specialist veterinarian for poultry). The next day, we travelled to one of our parent animal farms. Stephan Klaasen van Husen told us more about rearing and husbandry. Our guests were then given an insight into our ProCare hatchery in Elsnigk. René Berner explained the special features of our hatchery system: immediate access to water and feed means more animal welfare and healthier chicks.

Jan Mascheck was truly pleased with the visit and emphasised: „Perutnina is very satisfied with our production and our hatching eggs. The exchange was extremely valuable for both sides and strengthens our collaboration.“
